Hi there,
I'm Reyna!
As a Los Angeles native, my spirit thrives with curiosity and a profound love for humanity. Innately, I am a people person and have devoted my life to engaging with individuals in various capacities. As we navigate the intricacies of our life, we encounter pivotal moments that shape us; many of mine have been defined by an unwavering dedication to fostering personal growth and well-being in others. My path to psychotherapy has been enriched by diverse experiences that offer insights unattainable in theory alone.
During my tenure in the entertainment industry and the dynamic realm of marketing, I witnessed numerous individuals succumb to burnout, highlighting the pressing need for mental health support. With over a decade of experience in education, working directly with children, adolescents, and families as both an educator and administrator, I have developed a profound understanding of the importance of emotional attunement. This extensive background has been instrumental in my seamless transition into the field of mental health, where I continue to channel my passion for facilitating positive transformations in individuals’ lives.
I take pride in being a lifelong learner and continuously strive to expand my knowledge and expertise. My work as a Trauma Therapist has been truly transformative. Specializing in psychological trauma studies, I am keenly attuned to its impacts on both behavioral and neurobiological responses. I’ve served clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, and prioritize cultural humility in my practice, valuing the perspectives and backgrounds of each individual I work with. Additionally, I’m passionate about facilitating support groups and witnessing the power of community. Through this hands-on experience, my empathy has deepened, and my ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to share their stories, explore their emotions, and develop effective coping strategies has been strengthened.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and rooted in promoting holistic well-being, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of every individual, couple, or family. I firmly believe in cultivating a therapeutic alliance founded on unconditional positive regard, honoring the uniqueness of each person’s journey. It is both a privilege and a responsibility to accompany my clients on their path of self-discovery, and I am committed to consistently showing up authentically in our collaborative exploration. We all deserve to live the life we desire; sometimes we just need some guidance to get there.
